Hey guys and dolls,
So just over 2 weeks ago I posted a video on YouTube giving my first impression of the L’Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara. I posted it at the end if you’ve missed it. Since Ive been using it almost everyday since then I thought it was safe enough to share how this bad boy performed. So it costs around 11 Euros in Europe and can be purchased from your local drugstore. As far as I know its not yet available in the US.
“Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara creates mega volume on top and bottom lashes with ultimate hold. Our exclusive formula, made up of enlarging collagen spheres works perfectly in conjunction with the 360° flexible cone shaped brush to amplify upper lashes and reveal lower lashes. The exclusive formula also contains a trilogy of polymers for absolute hold and staying power”.
So how did this guy actually perform. It definitely lengthens and gives a decent amount of volume. The bendy brush does allow for more flexibility so you can really get to the root of the lashes. But it did take me a little getting used to. The brush head has a cylinder shape which makes it super easy to accentuate the outer lashes and easily get the inner and bottom lashes without making a mess.
The brush head is a little bigger than what I’m used to and I do wish it had shorter bristles to aid in separating as it does tend to get a little spidery and clumpy. I found that two coats was perfect and three is where the spider lash kicked in over drive. If you don’t mind that look then you’ll love this but if you do then you might want to stay away.
Although the formula was extremely wet when first opened it became a little dryer making it easier to control. As for wear this little guy did pretty good. It lasted all day long without flaking, smudging, or transferring on my skin. Yet it was still relatively easy to remove in the evenings without having to tug and rub which is definitely a plus in my books.
Overall I give this guy a 4/5. Not only is it budget friendly but its a deep rich black, which volumizes and lengthens with great ease. Unfortunately one point gets knocked off due to the fact that the outcome is no where near that of the commercial (surprise surprise!!!) and it can easily become spidery and clumpy so it does require a little bit of careful attention. I have to say though I’m super impressed and haven’t used anything else since, so a major thumbs up for this great drugstore beauty. Have any of you guys tried it out yet, what do you think, love or dud?
Here’s my first impression and demo video if you missed it!!!! Please excuse the thumbnail, im still trying to master the art haha!!!!
