Review: Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation

Hello make up lovers,

Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA lately but I was in lala land while on holiday in Dubai visiting my sister, nephew, and brother in law. We had an amazing time, as per usual, and of course my wonderful sister spoiled me rotten with products galore!! Everything from skin care, to eye shadow, fake tan, mascara, and even a whitening tooth kit!!! So today I thought I would share and review for you all the new-ish Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation.

MUFE_ProFinishMake Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation is available to my US guys and gals via Sephora or makeupforever.com and costs $36. For my Danish pals it will be available in Sephora in Copenhagen in a few months. It comes in 25 different shades and tones. The powdered foundation is housed in a sturdy, black, shiny, plastic compact. It also comes with a cosmetics sponge housed underneath the product its self.

The packaging is relatively light so its great to throw in your handbag and easy to travel with. The only downside to the packaging is it gets dirty looking quickly and picks up even the slightest hint of finger print.

MUFE_ProFinish_125MUFE_ProFinish_163So my sister got sent shades 125 and 163. Luckily enough the 163 works great with my newly tanned skin. Ive been testing it out for over a week now and I love it. You can use it wet for a dewy finish or dry for a mat finish so its great for all skin types and needs. Plus its formulated with some great ingredients which hydrate and sooth the skin. The coverage on this thing is amazing. It can be sheered or built up to full coverage so its definitely has a multi-usage. You can even use it with a large powder brush to lightly dust and set you liquid foundation.

Over all I have pretty dry and sensitive skin and I’m not normally a fan of powdered foundation as they tend to dry me out but wow oh wow this guy did the opposite, even when I used it dry. I had flawless glowing summer skin with zero breakout. The lightweight and buildable formula really is great for all skin types.

THE VERDICT:

This wonderful product gets a 10/10 from me.

It looked flawless on the skin, was easy to use and blend. It didn’t cake up at all and looked so natural, it just soaked into my skin. I love that you can use it wet for a sheer dewy finish or dry for full coverage. Plus the shade range is amazing so I’m sure almost every guy or gal can find something!!!

Have any of you tried this product?

Mac Collective Haul & Swatches

Hey Beauty Lovers,

I’ve got a little Mac collective haul to share with you all. I purchased these items over the course of the last three months (expect a few to show up in this months favorites :D).

Well lets just get on with it. Here’s all my Mac goodies of late

Mac_CollectiveHaul_Feb-Apr

I picked up a few lipsticks of course. I’m really into the bright lip trend at the moment especially pinks and corals. I finally picked up some of Macs most cult lipsticks Myth, Snob and Saint Germain.

I really like having the matching glosses to my lip sticks so I also picked up two lipglasses in Myth and Saint Germain

The glowing skin look is all the rave at the moment so I decide to pick up a Strobe Cream and a Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade. I have to say I’m really loving the Strobe Cream so far. I mix two small pumps in with my foundation or BB cream for a lit from within glow.

Over all I’m pretty happy with my Mac goodies of late. I’ve seen there’s some new collections coming out soon (lets hope there nothing worth lusting over so I don’t hurt the wallet more then it already is!!! haha)

Keep a look out because I’ve got some really fun spring time posts coming up.

Have a super day.

TopShop Haul & Blush/Lip Swatches

Hello lovelies,

A few weeks ago I stopped by TopShop to check out their make up line. We’ve had TopShop here in Copenhagen for a good 6 years or so and I’ve shopped there many a time but never experimented with their make up. Ive heard some awesome things about it so I thought I’d give it a go.

Heres what I got:

Topshop_haul

How cute is the packaging. Love the little polka dots and stripes. Even the outter packaging is the same!!!! It’s so girly and feminine, it just makes me want to slap it all over my face!! hahaha.

I picked up two of the cream blushes.

Head Over Heals is pastel coral and Morning Dew is a fresh pink. I’m really into cream blushes at the moment. They work great with my dry to combination skin. It makes my skin glow and they last all day. But be careful, these beauties are pigmented. I like to apply and blend out the product with my ring and middle finger. If I added too much I just use a damp Beauty Blender to work it’s magic 😀

I also picked up some lip products. Two of the jumbo lip pencils and a lipstick.

As you can see Coy is a matte coral pink. Wave Goodbye is a satin pink and Nevada is a nude matte. The matte products are super long lasting but a bit drying on the lips which is pretty normal for a product like that. The satin lip pencil is fab, its super shiny, super hydrating and lasts all day.

And lastly I picked up a liquid highlighter in Glow.

Its a really great and unique highlight. It has subtle pink and gold notes and just looks so flattering and fresh on my skin. I like to top it off with a bit of Mac MSF in Soft&Gentle to really lock it in.

THE VERDICT

9/10 for this buy. The packaging is adorable yet functional. The pigmentation and lasting power on all these babies are fantastic. I would have given it 10/10 but the drying nature of the matte lip products brought it down a notch. I’m going to London in June to visit my sister and I’m definitely gonna hit up the huge TopShop on Oxford Street and load up on a few more products.

Have any of you used any products from TopShop, whats your favorite one?
