Reviw & Swatches: Smashbox Halo Long Wear Blush in Blissful

Hey Guys and Dolls,

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend 😀

I’ve been playing around with a few of the Smashbox products I got at an event recently while in Dubai. I’ve been testing out the super popular Halo Long Wear Blush in Blissful so I decided to review and swatch it for you.

Smashbox_HaloBlush_BlissfulSmashbox_HaloBlush_Blissful_BacksideSmashbox_HaloBlush_Blissful_OpenThe packaging for this thing is super cool. It comes in a round, plastic, and sturdy container. The product is released through a shaving type mechanism. You just twist the bottom of the container and the product is shaved and exposed for use. It’s actually super smart, it keeps everything mess free and hygienic.

Smashbox_HaloBlush_Blissful_CloseupBlissful is a dusty matte rose shade. The texture is so soft and feels almost like butter although its a powder.

Smashbox_HaloBlush_Blissful_SwatchesThe pigmentation is insane with this blush. Its very true to color and really shows up well on the skin and cheeks. I suggest you work very light handedly with this product and build up the color because it’s pretty intense and can look clownish really quick. But blended out well and applied in a light layer gives for a perfect rose-mauve flush. Because of it’s finely milled and creamy texture it blends so effortlessly and flawlessly into the skin. It also lasts for a while and showed minimal signs of fading after 8 hours of wear.

9/10 for this incredibly gorgeous and powerful blush. the texture, pigmentation and blendability are incredible. The only reason why it doesn’t get a 10/10 is the pigmentation is so strong that it could prove a little fussy and over done if not carefully applied. But apart from that, the packaging is great and the product is up there as one of my fave blushes. I’ll probably be rocking this in the winter for that perfect winter flush. I’m not surprised these blushes are some of Smashbox’s most popular and renowned products, I’ll definitely be having a look at these in Sephora when I head to Cali this summer. My American readers can get the blushes and other Smashbox products from or My birtish girls can get this from Unfortunately I don’t no where my danish girls could get their hands on this. They use to sell it in Matas and Magasin but not anymore.  Perhaps the British site delivers to Europe but I’m not sure.

What are your favorite Smashbox products? I received a lot more goodies from Smashbox so keep a look out for more reviews and swatches.

Review & Swatches: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Hey Beauty Lovers,

So I’m absolutely loving Revlon lip products at the moment. I received a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in my trade with Lola’s Charms and I bought two more when I was In Dubai. So I thought, hey,  today’s post should be a review and swatches on my new Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in 040 Rendezvous, 010 Darling, and 025 Valentine.

If you don’t already know these famous babies act like a long wearing stain but with the comfort of a lip balm and the shiny razzle dazzle of a lip gloss. The formula on these guys are amazing. You can apply one coat for a subtle hint of shining color or built up to an opaque glossy coating. The packaging is nice too. Its a twist top so no need for sharpening and the large crayon size makes for a super easy and mess free application.

Revlon_BalmStain_Review_Swatches_Rendezvous040 Rendezvous: Is a vibrant warm orange which is super on trend for this summer. It’s super silky smooth, moisturizing and very comfortable on the lips. It can be worn more sheer or built up like in the swatch for a glossy wash of orange juiciness. It lasts for a good four hours on me plus more with its beautiful staining capabilities.

Revlon_BalmStain_Review_Swatches_Darling010 Darling is a cold toned lavender purple. This is probably the sheerest of the three but it still packs a punch. It can appear very subtle yet vibrant, a great way to rock the pastel and lavender lip trend that is oh so popular at the moment. Again it lasts for a good four hours plus staining. Although, this one doesn’t leave as much of an intense stain. Regardless, its still a beautiful shade in a fantastic formula.

Revlon_BalmStain_Review_Swatches_Sweetheart025 Sweetheart is a loevly bright pink/magenta with a slight blue undertone. Just like the others the formula is silky smooth and moisturizing. This one also lasts for many hours and leaves the most gorgeous pink flush on the lips once the glossiness disappears.

10/10 for Revlon’s Balm Stains. They are fab for warm summer days when you just want a sheer coating but also hold there own when it comes to longevity and buildable opacity. They are definitely long lasting with a super high gloss finish. Plus they are so moisturizing unlike many long wearing lip products and stains. I for sure want to pick up a few more when I’m in Cali this summer. I have to say I’m super impressed with Revlon, I just wish they had it here in Copenhagen :(

Have any of you tried Revlon Kissable Balm stains? What shades would you recommend?

Review & Swatches: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

Hello Lovelies,

It’s another bright and sunny summer day here in Copenhagen so I thought it would be rather fitting to share with you my new favorite summer lip products: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters.

Revlon_ColorBurst_LipButters_Review&SwatchesI only have three of these bad boys and oh man oh man do I want more. I’ll definitely be stalking up on these when I head to Cali for summer holiday. If you don’t already, no these little guys are super moisturizing sheer lipsticks. There almost like a lip balm with a powerful color punch. They smell delightful and feel so great on the lips. They are an easy and hassle free everyday lip color. They don’t bleed or sit on the dry patches or lines on your lips. They give a more sheer coverage then lipstick but by no means are they a tinted lip balm. You can actually build up quite an opaque color with just a few swipes.

Revlon_ColorBurst_LipButters_Review&Swatches_1I received Sweet Tart and Tutti Frutti in my trade with Lola’s Charms and picked up Wild Watermelon when I was in Dubai. I should have picked up more but I was with my boyfriend and he can only handle about 5 minutes in any beauty supply store so I was rushed!! haha. Well to be honest it’s not like I need more lip products but these are just amazing and like nothing I own in my collection.

Well lets get into the review and swatches.

Revlon_ColorBurst_LipButters_Review&Swatches_SweetTartSweet Tart is a vibrant pink. The swatch is one swipe so it is rather sheer but can be built up to a rather intense color opacity.

Revlon_ColorBurst_LipButters_Review&Swatches_WildWatermelonWild Watermelon is super. It’s a redish pink and looks really fab on the lips. Again this is one swipe so it may appear sheer but a few swipes on the lips and wow oh wow do you have some bright colorful kissable looking lips.

Revlon_ColorBurst_LipButters_Review&Swatches_TuttiFruttiTutti Frutti is a warm orange. I think this is a fab color for summer and even fall. It’s a great alternative for you girls who have been wanting to try the orange color trend without over doing it or diving into those opaque vibrant oranges. This is still vibrant and packs a punch but you can wear it extra sheer for a tint of orange goodness.

10/10 for these babies. They do just what they claim, they moisturize and add a subtle to buildable color coverage. They are highly pigmented for this type of product and wear for a pretty long time. They’re just so perfect for warm summer days, easy to apply and mess free 😀 And the packaging is great, the color of the tube represents the color of the product so its super easy to see the colors amongst all my other lippies (that is if your a lip junkie like me, then you no what I’m talking about!!!)

I would definitely suggest these to everyone, plus they have sooooo many shades to choose from. If your looking for opaque matte colors these aren’t for you but for a subtle and ethereal color on the lips then you should go for it. Plus since they’re drugstore they are rather affordable. All my US readers can purchase these at any drugstore, target or Walmart. For my Brits you can get these at boots, unfortunately for my Danes they aren’t sold in Denmark :( But i think Ive seen them on amazon and ebay.

Have any of you tried the Revlon Lip Butters? I would love to hear about your experience.
