Swatches & First Impressions: Mac Kelly Osbourne Collection

Hey guys :)

So I’ve had the date saved for the release of the Mac Kelly Osbourne Collection for weeks now and I was lucky enough to take a peek at the collection before it was released in stores this past Thursday the 12th. I even got to put aside all the goodies I wanted and purchased them in store on the release date…yey for me!!!

So I picked up the lipsticks in Riot House and Dodgy Girl, The Blush in Cheeky Buger, and the Bloody Brilliant Eyeshadow Quad.

mac_kellyOsbourneCollection_lipstick_swatchesDodgy Girl is a light lavender with a matte finish although it isn’t completely matte as it shows a subtle hint of glow. It has a bit of a satin finish and feels rather comfortable for a matte shade. It has a soft creamy texture and applied smoothly without skipping or pulling on the lips. The pigmentation is great achieving opacity with just one or two swipes. No feathering, bleeding or cracking experienced either.

Riot House is a light yet vivid peachy orange with a mate finish. The pigmentation is great, as well as the opacity. It has a soft creamy texture and applied smoothly on the lips, though the formula was drying for me and didn’t apply that evenly. I did not experience any bleeding or feathering with this one either. I do love how unique this shade is and cant wait to try it mixed with more hydrating products.

mac_kellyOsbourneCollection_blush_cheekyBuger_2mac_kellyOsbourneCollection_blush_cheekyBuger_swatchCheeky Buger Blush is a light, pastel,Β  pinky-peach with a matte finish. The texture and formula is super soft and smooth, making it so effortless to blend into the skin for a subtle look, yet the pigmentation is great for a more powerful effect too.

Spoonful of Sugar isΒ  aΒ  light silver with subtle warmth and a frosted finish. The texture was smooth and creamy. It also had good pigmentation and color pay off.

Tickety Boo is a soft muted plum brown. Its a mid toned warm mauve shade with a beautiful satin finish. The texture was smooth and the pigmentation is great for a mid toned shade.

mac_kellyOsbourneCollection_bloodyBrilliant_eyeshadowQuad_fizzyRoseFizzy Rose is a cool toned light pink lilac with a slight pearly sheen. The texture is soft and smooth. The pigmentation is decent (not the strongest of the bunch). Worked over a corresponding base or white base will definitely make this pastel shade pop.

Shadowy Lady is a blackened plum with a matte finish. More specifically this shade is a deep yet muted and cool toned, burgundy brown. The pigmentation is great, yet the shadow is a bit drier in texture.

4/5 for this super cool collection. The packaging is super cute, I cant resist me some lavender packaging hahaha!!! I love the uniqueness of the lipstick shades (although I would have preferred a more moisturizing finish for Riot House). The blush is gorgeous and perfect for that girly baby doll peachy-pink flush. I also love the eyeshadow quad for its diverse colors and finishes, with overall great pigmentation and texture.

Have any of you picked up any pieces from this collection? If so what did you get and what do you think? If not, are there any items your thinking about snagging?

Today I’ll be showing you some swatches and giving a full review.

North American’s can find this palette at your nearest Too Faced counter ($46). For all my Europeans and Intenationals, you can purchase this item from the British retailer (36 British Pounds).

TooFaced_PrettyRebel_PaletteTooFaced_PrettyRebel_Palette_backWhat Too Faced say’s:

Now here’s an actual look at the shadows

TooFaced_PrettyRebel_1TooFaced_PrettyRebel_2TooFaced_PrettyRebel_3TooFaced_PrettyRebel_4Now for the swatches…

TooFaced_PrettyRebel_Palette_SwatchesTopRowDainty: Cream shade with a matte finish. Really pigmented and very smooth for such a light matte shade. Its perfect as a brow bone or inner corner highlight.

Charming: Cool toned brown with slight purple and mauve undertones in a matte finish. Swatches patchy and uneven but actually works really well in the crease for some definition or as a transition shade. Its pretty pigmented but a bit chalky and a tad bit rough in texture. Yet it was easy enough to blend.

Girly: Metallic green with a brown duo chrome. This is a way cool shade. I love these duo chrome shades. Its really pigmented, very smooth in texture and easy to blend. (Wet N’ Wild also has a similar shade in the Comfort Zone Palette that’s pretty insane).

Totally Fetched: Hot pink with a slight purple sheen and tiny tiny barley-there glitters. This is a majorly intense pink. The glitters are so fine you can barely see them so its more of a matte shade. Its super pigmented, easy to blend and has an ok smooth texture.

Miss Sparkles: Dark grey/black matte with blue glitters. This one is a bit chalky and decently pigmented (its not the darkest black or anything!!). The glitters totally show up and don’t seem to fall out too badly during wear.Β  This shade does look really cool on the lid as a great crease or outer V shade.

TooFaced_PrettyRebel_Palette_SwatchesBottomRowRingleader: Soft, pale, creamy-pink with slight gold shimmer. The swatch doesn’t do it justice but this is a really gorgeous shade and works lovely as an inner corner highlight or all over lid color: great pigmentation, blendability, and smooth buttery texture.

Gangster: Mossy copper toned brown with a metallic finish. Great color pay off, easy to blend and amazing texture.

Instigator: Metallic gold. I love this shade especially wet. Very metallic indeed, easy to blend and really pigmented. Again the texture is silky smooth on this one.

Baddass: Cool toned blue with silver glitter and shimmer. This is a really lovely blue with a silver reflex. Sorry if I’m being redundant but this one is really pigmented and super smooth too.

Jailbird: Metallic silver. Wow this guy is so intense, richly pigmented and buttery soft.

4/5 for this palette. Firstly the packaging is really gorgeous. It’s so unique but still totally functional. The bottom shades were a major stand out. Every single one was pigmented, rich and smooth in texture and easy to blend. Unfortunately the top row lacked a little bit in terms of swatching. Although Charming and Ms. Sparkle swatched a little patchy and felt rougher in texture they actually work really nicely on the lid and are pretty pigmented…had these been a tad better in terms of texture then his palette would have gotten full marks πŸ˜€

Here’s a look I did using Ringleader on the inner corner, Instigator on the lid, Totally Fetched in the crease and outer crease, Miss Sparkle on the outer-v, and Dainty on the brow bone…

Toofaced_PrettyRebel_lookAll in all this palette is Pretty Rebel LOL!!! Honestly, this is a great palette for anyone out there looking to splurge on an awsomely intense and highly metalic palette. The shades work really lovely on the lid and make for some really unique and wow looks πŸ˜€

Have any of you tried this palette??Β  What I’d love to hear your thoughts?

Review & Swatches: Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Coral Oasis

Hey guys,

I recently did a really pretty coral eye look using the Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Coral Oasis. So I thought I’d review and swatch it for you πŸ˜€

I got this product at Walgreens for $9.79 but it can also be purchased at any other American drugstore or here through for all my internationals πŸ˜€

The packaging is fairly simple, made form plastic including a double ended sponge tip applicator that I threw out immediately. The packaging feels a bit flimsy but on the plus side its super slim and small so its convenient for on the go or for traveling.

The quad comes with 4 beautiful shimmery shades.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_PinkThe first shade from the left is a gorgeous shimmery pink toned champagne shade. Amazing pigmentation, super creamy texture and amazing longevity when worn with a primer.

Maybelline_Eyestudion_CoralOasisQuad_GoldThe second shade is a yellowy gold shimmer shade. This is a really beautiful shade and compliments the warm tones beautifully. Great pigmentation, blendability, texture and longevity.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_CoralThe third shade is a beautiful coral orange with a satin finish. This is my favorite shade, great color pay off, another buttery smooth shade with great lasting power.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_BrownThe last shade is a deep brown with aubergine undertones. This one also has a satin finish. As is the case with the other shades this one is also highly pigmented, very smooth, easily blendable and great long lasting power.

Here’s a look I created with all the shades plus the shade Mermaid from the Too faced Summer Eyes Palette ( I’ll have a review and swatches up of this guy at some point this week!!).

9/10 for this great budget friendly quad. It has every color you need to create a fresh day time eye or smoked out for those warm summer evenings. The pigmentation, texture, blendability and staying power is wonderful on every single shade. The fallout was minimal, I just made sure to tap the extra product off my brush before application πŸ˜€ The only down fall to this product was the flimsy packaging. Otherwise this product was spot on perfect!!
