Skin Care Empties & Would I Repurchase

Hey guys πŸ˜€

So I’m kind of trying to be on a no buy at the moment. That means trying to stop my self buying heap loads of new products especially skin care until the ones I have are all used up. I have so many products and they keep on piling in, thanks to my sister hooking me up with so many amazing freebies, so instead of letting them sit at the back of my skin care drawer I’m trying to use them up. Plus it feels great to finish a product, kind of feels like an accomplishment!! So I thought I would share some of my empty products and let you know if i’d be willing to re- purchase.

Body Shop Honeymania Exfoliant Creme

I have to say that I’m a real sucker for body scrubs. I have uber dry skin all year round, especially on my legs and elbows so these type of products are a god send. I find some to be far too abrasive and rather uncomfortable to use and that’s why I love the ones from the body shop. Especially the Exfoliant Creme line. The scent was ok but nothing amazing. Loved how it scrubbed off the dead skin cells and left my skin moisturized.

Would I repurchase?

I would definitely pick up another one of these scrubs, maybe in another scent just to switch it up. But that’ll have to wait because at the moment I’m using the Pink Victoria Secret Warm and Cozy Body Wash and Scrub which is amazing.

Urban Decay Melt Down Make Up Remover

The urban Decay Melt Down Make Up Remover is the best make up remover I’ve ever tried. It removes every trace of make up and leaves the skin feeling super smooth and supple, never tried anything like it before. It has a really creamy texture and feels moisturizing on the skin.

Would I repurchase?

Hell yeah I would. I’m just waiting till I go to Cali in May to pick one up, or two πŸ˜€

Nars Optimal Brightening Concentrate

I recently finished my Nars brightening serum. This is a great little product to use before your daily moisturizer to add brightness to the complexion without becoming a disco ball. The texture in smooth and the consistency is light so its rather pleasant to have on.

Would I repurchase?

I’m not sure to be honest, its a great little product but there are so many serums on the market at the moment and I love trying out new things so I think I’ll wait on this one.

Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 40

I’m definitely one of those girls who tries to wear SPF on a daily basis even in the winter. I’m fair skinned with red head features like freckles so my skin is pretty sensitive to the sun. I mean i can totally get a tan, but it takes me a long time and I’m susceptible to sun burn if i don’t watch out. Plus i want to derail any skin damage while i have the chance. Really love the Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer with SPF 40. Its light weight while moisturizing and protecting from those harsh rays.

Would I Repurchase?

I love Josie Maran and swear by her Argan Oil, among other great products, so I would definitely pick this bad boy up again. Unfortunately its not available in Denmark, and Europe in general, as far as I’m aware, so this will have to wait till I’m in Cali in May.

Dermalogica Age Smart Age Reversal Eye Complex and Overnight Repair Serum

Lastly Ive used up the Dermologica Age Smart Eye cream and Overnight Repair Serum. OMG these two are the best skin care products I’ve ever used. The over night repair serum is a miracle in a bottle. I used it every night and in the morning I would see a dramatic difference in my face in terms of a smoother texture, and any scarring, redness or irritation from breakouts and the like drastically diminished. The eye cream is also a wowzer, light weight yet highly moisturizing.

Would I repurchase?

For sure the over night repair serum. There are loads of night oils/serums on the market and this is the best one. I’m trying to use up my Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate which is good but definitely not as good as the Dermalogica. But once its up I’m going for it, even though the price is steep, its totally worth it. This one will also be a Cali purchase, so much cheaper than in Europe.

Well guys and dolls those are someΒ  of the products I’ve used up recently. Have you used any of these, wold you repurchase them too? Otherwise what have you used up, anything you swear by?

Summer Sephora Haul

Hey guys πŸ˜€

So apart from eating loads of good food and hanging out with the family, shopping is one of my favorite holiday activities πŸ˜€ LOL!! Some may even call it a sport!! Every time I come to the US I load up on makeup and clothing. Especially brands you cant really get out in Europe and certainly not really out in Denmark.

First stop was Sephora to get some products I’ve been wanting to try and repurchases of things I’ve ran out of. So here’s what I got on my fruitful trip to wonderful Sephora on Powell street in SF.

I picked up 2 eye shadow palettes

The Too Faced Loves Sephora Palette ($52). Its a limited edition palette boasting 10 awesome eye shadow shades, two bronzers, a blush, a brush that I’m not excited about, and a mini shadow insurance.

I Also picked up the Stilla In The Light Eye Shadow Palette ($39).Β This palette also comes with 10 shades and a smudge proof waterproof eyeliner in Damsel. Ive been eying this bad boy for over a year now. I don’t really need another neutral palette but I just gave in. Plus Ive been wanting to try the Kitten shade for ever!!!!

The Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream was next on my list ($28). I actually tried to get my brother to pick this up for me before he came to visit at Easter time but they were all sold out. Its meant to be an all over miracle cream. It claims to moisturize, sooth irritated skin, great for dry elbows, keep stray eyebrows in place, smooth flyaways, prevent or sooth razor burn, use as a lip conditioner, the list is endless really!!! Ive heard raving reviews and I’m really excited to try it out. Especially for my super dry elbow and occasional dry patches around my nose and chin.

Ive always wanted to try one of the Buxom Full-on Lip Creams ($19). So I picked up one of the newer shades in Mai Tai. Its a super bright coral orange, a shade I’m mighty obsessed with this summer πŸ˜€

And lastly I picked up the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara ($19). This is my holy grail mascara. Its amazing, especially over the Tarte primer. I ran out a few months ago so I had to pick up another one. I might even get one more back up because who knows when ill be back in the US as Ive got thesis writing coming up next semester.

I’m sure I’ll have plenty more beauty hauls to come. I for sure need to go back to Sephora and pick up a stash of Clarasonic heads, and repurchase my Josie Maran Argan Oil. I also need to pick up a new face wash. I’m using The Philosophy Purity cleanser. Its great but I think I’m ready to try something new since Ive been using that non stop for a year now and its almost done. If you have any suggestions on great cleansers for dry to combination and sensitive skin then please let me know πŸ˜€

May Favorites

Hey Guys,

Its that time of the month again…May Beauty Favorites.

May_Beauty_FavoritesSummer has finally hit Copenhagen so I’ve been wearing a little less makeup but I do have some staple favorites and a few new ones that I’m obsessed with and cant live without πŸ˜€ Lets just get in to it…

IMG_2799Now that the sun is shinning and I had a hot sunny Holiday in Dubai I’ve been Wearing Josie Maran Argan Moisturizing Serum Foundation. Its really great because adapts to your skin tone so it’s perfect for summer months and sunny holidays when your skin color changes. Its light wearing and really moisturizing and really great for those with dry skin and looking for a light coverage.

I’ve also been pairing it with my Mac Prep and Prime in Radiance as a highlight/concealer for my under eye area. It instantly gives my face the fresh brightness it needs early in the morning.

For my lips I’ve basically only been using my new Revlon Lip Butters, I got in my trade with Lola’s Charms, especially the shade in Sweet Tarte. Its the perfect, every day, easy to wear pink. Plus its super moisturizing and so comfortable to wear on the lips. I will have a review and swatches up soon on some of the shades I picked up in Dubai.

I’ve also been obsessed with OPI Which is Witch. I also got this one in my swap with Lola’s Charms. Its a super fun glitter top coat that looks good over any color to add a little glam to your nails.

May_Beauty_Favorites_PowderSurprise, Surprise, Benefit Hoola Bronzer and TheBalm Mary-Lou Minizer win again for most awesome awesomeness!!! You get what I mean, right? They are booth super pigmented, creamy and really perk up the complexion. I’ve also been reaching for my Tarte Amazonian Clay 12- Hour Blushes. I really love the texture of these bad boys. They really blend in so beautifully into the skin. I’ve been rocking the shade Dollface, It’s a really pretty dusty rose.

May_Beauty_Favorites_SigmaBrushesI recently posted on my instagram a little pre birthday haul for myself. One of the items was the Sigma Mrs. Bunny Collection Brush Set. OMG….AMA-ZING!!! All the brushes in the kit are amazing. Super soft and really versatile. But I’m really really enjoying the F40 Large Angled Contour brush for my blush and the F30 Large Powder brush for setting my make up or blending out contour and blush. I’m definitely interested in getting more. I’m heading to IMATS in London in just a few weeks so hopefully I can grab some there…otherwise I’m making a trip to Ulta when I’m in Cali later this summer.

LimeCrime_DAntoinette_PaletteAnd lastly I’ve really been gravitating towards my Lime Crime Palette D’Antoinette. I just love the ethereal and soft look the create…perfect for these lovely summer days.

Well those were my favorite babies of May. I would love to hear what your favorites are, so leave a comment below.
