Best eyeshadow palette goes tooooo..drum roll please….Lorac Pro. It has everything you need including a range of matte and shimmer shades , with perfect buttery textures and easy blendability. Of course the pigmentation is insane and its absolutely perfect for travel.

lorac_proI”m a huge fan of using cream eye shadows and colored bases. Ive tried so many of these type of products from the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils to the Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream Eyeshadows, both amazing with great  color selections but my favorite ones are the Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoos. The shade range is extensive with a variety of finishes from matte, to shimmery, metallic and glitter. They last so long without creasing so they can be worn alone but they also do a great job of boosting any powder eyeshadow. I have been really hooked on the shades Pomegranate Punk, a gorgeous burgundy plum with golden micro glitter, and Pink Gold, a pretty pink with golden shimmer.

maybelline_24hour_color_tattooBest mascara is a toss up between the Benefit They’re Real and Tarte Lights Camera Lashes. They both do a fab job at volumizing and lengthening with minimal clumping. Both are the deepest of black while neither flaking or transferring onto the skin. The Tarte Lights camera Lashes gets half a point more just because the brush is slightly more comfortable on the lash line (Benefits They’re Real is a little sharp and prickly and sometimes hurts my lash line if I get too close!!)

Ive been really into winged liner this year and I find it easiest and most flattering to use a gel liner. Ive tried Smashbox, YSL, and Maybelline (just to mention a few) but the L’Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza in Pure Black  is the best I’ve tried, it doesn’t flake, smudge or budge and its so creamy. The perfect formula for a crisp line.

tarte_lightscameralashes_LorealOh eyeliners how I love you but why must you never stay in my water line!!?? I always have to set with powder but the best black pencil liner I’ve tried in terms of lonegvity is Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Pencil in Covet. It lasts for a few hours without setting with shadow which is the best I’ve encountered so far (for my rather wet waterline!!).

AnastasiaBeverlyHills_LavishKit_CovetPencilBrows:

For the last year and a half I’ve been almost exclusively using the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products. Ive tried the brow powder, the brow wiz, and the clear brow gel and love them all. But the most stand out product has got to be the Brow Wiz. The tip is super fine for extreme precision and the formula is soft so its easy to apply. Plus it comes with a built in spooly for grooming and blending.

Runner up for best brow product of 2013 definitely goes to the Benefit Gimme Brow. This little guy is perfect for those natural and quick make up days. The brush is tiny so its absolutely perfect for the brow, it lightly builds and fills brows for a natural put together look.  anastasiabeverlyhills_browwiz_benefitgimmebrowLips:

I’m not a huge lip liner wearer so I don’t have a big range of shades but I definitely like the Mac Pro Longwear Lip Pencils for longevity and minimizing feathering. One of my faves is RiRi Woo.

RiRi_Hearts_Mac_Collection_ririwooprolongwearpencilLipstick wise I love so many brands and have a huge collection from Mac to Lime Crime, Maybelline and Make Up For Ever but the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks are out of this world insane. Love the color range, pigmentation, and textures. The shade in Naked and Jilted are one of my faves among many.  What an amazing product and more generally, an all over fantastic brand. You can find a full review and swatches of some of the shades here.

urbandecay_revolution_lipstickThe NYX Butter Glosses have been the best thing to come to the beauty world. The gorgeous shades of pastel pinks, lavenders and basic nudes work great for any occasion. They look great alone or layered over lipstick without that sticky tacky feeling. Plus they smell delicious!! Click here to see a full review of these bad boys.

nyx_butterglossHonorable Mention:

Although these next two products are relatively new as they came out in late 2013 I felt they deserved a mention for their amazingness. My honorable mentions of 2013 have got to be the Urban Decay Naked 3 for its gorgeous array of pinky hues, amazing textures, and fab pigmentation. As well as the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Trio… I’ve been using both of these products almost exclusively since I got them in December.

urbandecaynaked3_hourglassambiantlightingtrioWell guys, I hope you’ve enjoyed my 2013 beauty product faves and round up. All of these babies have been staples which I’m sure ill use for years to come. What were some of your faves from 2013?

Until next time my fellow make up lovers!!!

My Top 5 Favorite Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes

Hey there guys 😀

I’m a huge fan of bright, fun, and rich eyeshadow shades but I’m also a lover of the neutral and more toned down colors. They neutral colors are great for naturally enhancing the eye shape, creating soft and delicate eye looks but they can also be worn to create gorgeous smokey eyes. So I thought I’d share my favorite neutral eyeshadow palettes that can achieve the more subtle soft looks and also the sultry smokey ones.

Top_5_Eyeshadow_PalettesThe Lorac Pro is at the top of my must have neutral palettes. It consists of half mattes and half shimmery shades from light to dark. Every shade is pigmented, smooth and blendable. Love this guy and almost always take it with me when I’m traveling as its great for multiple looks and possibilities.

The Naked original is amazing!! It’s full of warm shimmery shades with a few mattes that can transform any soft day look to a sultry night look. The pigmentation, quality, texture and blendability of every single shade is out of this world.

Top_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_UDNakedTop_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_UDNaked1Top_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_UDNaked2Top_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_UDNaked3I also really enjoy the Naked Basics palette. Its comprised of mostly matte shades and one satin shade. It has all the basic colors you need to create a neutral eye that can be amped up with the help of the the dark brown/black. This little guy is amazing to travel with its so small and compact and has everything I need for a complete look (Click here for a full review with swatches).

Again another gorgeous neutral palette housing a range of shades and finishes that can create both day and night looks.

It has a few more colorful shades then the other palettes, like the pinks, yet they are still very soft and natural. I love the mix of mattes and shimmers plus the quality is amazing at a great price point (Click here if you want to see some swatches).

Top_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_SleekOhSoSpecialTop_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_SleekOhSoSpecial1Top_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_SleekOhSoSpecial3Top_5_Eyeshadow_Palettes_SleekOhSoSpecial2As you can see there are an array of neutral shades ranging from your typical nudes and browns to pinks, gold, bronze and burgundy. Either way you can never go wrong with a neutral look. Its classy, sophisticated and timeless and really allows the natural beauty of the eye to show through. Do you own any of these palates, what do you think, what are some of your favorite neutral palettes?
