Paris, Milan and London Fashion Week Beauty Trends: Nude Lips and My Favorite Nudes from Mac

Hey Guys πŸ˜€

The recent fashion weeks in London, Paris and Milan boasted a range of gorgeous make up looks that will be setting the trends for the upcoming season. Although orange lips were seen all over the catwalks, nude lips also seemed to be all the rage. From the Top Show show in London, to Roberto Cavalli in Milan, and Victor & Rolf in Paris.

I really do love me some colorful lips but I’ve really been in to nudes at the moment. So I decided to compile a list, with swatches, of my favorite nude lipsticks from Mac that will be great if you want to follow this easy and full proof trend.

favorite_nude_lipsticks_macmac_nude_lipstcick_swatches(From top to bottom: Shy Girl, Myth, Close Contact, Creme De Nude)

Shy Girl: A soft nude beige with peachy-pink undertones. A Cremesheen finish gives a good amount of pigmentation with a slight sheen while being comfortable to wear.

Myth: A pale pinky beige with a Satin finish. Its nice and creamy, and super pigmented. It can be a bit drying though so just add a tad of lip balm before application.

Close Contact: A medium toned nude with warm peachy hints. Its an Amplified finish so its extremely creamy and buttery. Super comfortable to wear.

Creme De Nude: A traditional beige nude with slight warm undertones and a hint of light pink. Its super pigmented and the texture is super soft and smooth.

mac_nude_lipsticks_swatches_handI love all of these but Creme De Nude and Shy Girl are my absolute faves. What I love about these shades is you can transform them using a variety of different lip liners and/or lip glosses. You can really create your own unique shades time after time by layering with what you already have in your stash.

Β What are some of your favorite nude shades? Would you rock any of these?

Favorite Summer Blushes: Sleek Make Up, Mac & Top Shop

Hey Guys,

September and autumn are right around the corner but summer is still with us πŸ˜€ The sun is shinning (if you dont know we are having amazing weather here in Denmark, were actually having a real summer, which is rare!!) and I’m taking advantage of all the beautiful summer colors for my cheeks while I still have the chance. So I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite blushes for the summer.

Favorite_Summer_BlushesI absolutely love cream blushes for summer and winter. It gives an instant and effortless glow.

Optimistic Orange from Mac is a gorgeous bright orange coral. Its really powerful so you have to go light handed but sheered out its so pretty on the cheeks.

Favorite_Summer_Blushes_MacOne of my faves, and the cream blush I took with me on holiday, is Head Over Heels from Top Shop. Its a soft light pink. Its so girly and sweet..I really love it for those natural days. I have a full review of it here.

Favorite_Summer_Blushes_TopShopI recently hauled, on Instagram, a few goodies from Sleek Make Up when I was in London on my way to and from Cali. One of the first items I picked up was the Blush By 3 palette in Lace. OMG the pigmentation and smoothness of these are crazy insane. I cant stress enough how amazing this product is. I wish I picked up more!!! Luckily they’re available through

Favorite_Summer_Blushes_SleekThe palette comes with three shades. From left to right:

Crochet: A matte orange.

Guipure: A pinky gold shimmer which I love to use as an eyeshadow or lightly dusted on the top of the cheek bones for a highlight.

Chanitlly: A bright matte coral with strong pink undertones.

Review & Swatches: Mac Tropical Taboo Collection

Hey guys and Dolls,

Before I left for LA I picked up a few items from the Mac Topical Taboo Collection. I’ve had a week to play around and test these babies so I’d though Id do a review and share some swatches πŸ˜€

Mac_Tropical_Taboo_CollectionThere were a lot of gorgeous lipsticks, mineralized blushes and eye shadows but I only snagged up a few Items. I managed to get the Mineralized Skin Finish in Rio ($30), a Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Lady at Play ($22), and two Creemsheen Glasses in Fever Isle and Calypso Beat ($20).

Mac_Tropical_Taboo_Collection_MSF_RioMac_Tropical_Taboo_Collection_MSF_Rio_SwatchThe MSF in Rio is by far my favorite item from this collection. Its an amazing pinky frosted highlight. Its so gorgeous on. It reflects light like crazy so use a light hand. It look fabulous on the cheek bones of course and stunning in the inner corners. Love Love Love this πŸ˜€

Mac_Tropical_Taboo_Collection_MineralizedLipstick_Ladt_At_PlayMac_Tropical_Taboo_Collection_Lipstick_SwatchThe Mineralized Rich Lipstick in Lady at Play is a bright pinky coral. Its really vibrant, highly pigmented and super hydrating. It really feels fantastic on the lips, super comfortable. Its not the most super long wearing, and doesn’t claim to be either,Β  but it held a good 4 hours before fading.

Mac_Tropical_Taboo_Collection_CreemsheenGlass_feverIsleI also picked up a Creemsheen Glass in Fever Isle. Its a bright pink coral, it basically matches the Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Lady at Play. Its more on the sheer side and highly glossy. It doesn’t swatch great but it does look fab over the mineralze lipstick. The creemsheen Glasses are different in texture to the Lip Glasses, they are far less sticky and are far more comfortable to wear πŸ˜€

Mac_Tropical_Taboo_Collection_Creemsheen_CalypsoBeatThe Creemsheen Glass in Calypso Beat is a sparkly nude with slight pink undertones. This gloss is so gorgeous. There are gold and pink sparkles but they’re not chunky glitters and don’t feel grainy on at all. Its actually so comfortable and looks great on its own and layered on top of loads of different shades. The pigmentation is pretty great for a gloss, special a neutral shade. Really love this shade and formula.

Over all I would give these bad boys 9/10. The MSF and gloss in Calypso Beat are stand outs for me. The Creemsheen in Fever Isle is super gorgeous over the lipstick but is a bit sheer on its own. The lipstick is really great, the color isn’t that unique but the formula and shiny hydrating finish is fantastic. Though I’m not too sure if I like the packaging on these new lipsticks. Its a bit big and clunky. Maybe it will just need a little getting use to πŸ˜€

Have you tried any of the products from this collection? Id love to hear your thoughts on the Mineralize Rich lipstick packaging.. is it a nay or yay?
