Review & Swatches: Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Coral Oasis

Hey guys,

I recently did a really pretty coral eye look using the Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Coral Oasis. So I thought I’d review and swatch it for you πŸ˜€

I got this product at Walgreens for $9.79 but it can also be purchased at any other American drugstore or here through for all my internationals πŸ˜€

The packaging is fairly simple, made form plastic including a double ended sponge tip applicator that I threw out immediately. The packaging feels a bit flimsy but on the plus side its super slim and small so its convenient for on the go or for traveling.

The quad comes with 4 beautiful shimmery shades.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_PinkThe first shade from the left is a gorgeous shimmery pink toned champagne shade. Amazing pigmentation, super creamy texture and amazing longevity when worn with a primer.

Maybelline_Eyestudion_CoralOasisQuad_GoldThe second shade is a yellowy gold shimmer shade. This is a really beautiful shade and compliments the warm tones beautifully. Great pigmentation, blendability, texture and longevity.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_CoralThe third shade is a beautiful coral orange with a satin finish. This is my favorite shade, great color pay off, another buttery smooth shade with great lasting power.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_BrownThe last shade is a deep brown with aubergine undertones. This one also has a satin finish. As is the case with the other shades this one is also highly pigmented, very smooth, easily blendable and great long lasting power.

Here’s a look I created with all the shades plus the shade Mermaid from the Too faced Summer Eyes Palette ( I’ll have a review and swatches up of this guy at some point this week!!).

9/10 for this great budget friendly quad. It has every color you need to create a fresh day time eye or smoked out for those warm summer evenings. The pigmentation, texture, blendability and staying power is wonderful on every single shade. The fallout was minimal, I just made sure to tap the extra product off my brush before application πŸ˜€ The only down fall to this product was the flimsy packaging. Otherwise this product was spot on perfect!!

Review & Swatches: Buxom Full-On Lip Cream

Hey guys,

Ive got another lip product review to share with you all. I hope its not too repetitive at the moment with all the lippy reviews but since its summer these are my favorite types of products to try out and wear. They make any look put together without tremendous time or effort. Sometimes dewy skin, mascara and a bright lip is all you need on a beautiful and warm summer day.

Enough rambling…today I’d like to share my thoughts on the Buxom Full-On Lip Creams ($19) in Mai Tai and Lavender Cosmo. Available here through Sephora or your local Bare Escentuals counter.

Buxom_LipCreamThe product comes in simple white packaging with the Buxom logo and is housed in a clear matte frosted tube with a doe foot applicator.

The Lip Creams are a shimmer and glittery free gloss with a plumping effect. The formula is super smooth and soft, no streaking or settling into fine lines. The finish is a super wow high impact gloss that plumps the lips for a perfect pout. The smell is rather light but so delicious like vanilla coconut cream.

There is definitely some peppermint or spearmint up in these babies. You cant smell it in the tube but you can definitely feel it and smell it once it’s on your lips. There’s a slight tingling sensation but not uncomfortable or painful like some plumping glosses (namely the NYX lip injector…ouch that made my lips burn so bad, they felt like they were on fire!!!). I actually really love the freshness this brings to my lips. It even makes my breath smell fresh πŸ˜€

Here’s a closer look at these gorgeous lip creams.

Buxom_LipCream_MaiTaiBuxom_LipCream_MaiTai_SwatchMai Tai: Creamy coral. This one is a bit sheer but looks really effortless and fresh on the lips. It just gives that slight hint of color. Great for those not wanting to venture into the full on neon and bright corals available out there at the moment. The longevity is pretty lasted about 4 hours with drinking.

Buxom_LipCream_LavenderCosmoBuxom_LipCream_LavenderCosmo_SwatchLavender Cosmo: A creamy lavender baby pink. The pigmentation is superb on this one. Its a beautiful and opaque (for a gloss). A super bang on trend shade for this summer. The longevity was also pretty impressive.

9/10 for these gorgeous cream glosses. The minty tingly sensation is refreshing and definitely adds a bit of plump. The super high gloss finish is exceptional, also adding to the plump factor. The formula is easy to use, super creamy and feels very comfortable. Not sticky at all. The pigmentation on Mai Tai wasn’t amazing but still absolutely gorgeous non the less. Lavender Cosmo was the stand out for me in terms of pigmentation. I’d love to test out a few more as there are so many beautiful colors form this range including some gorgeous nudes and deep plums.

Have you tried the Buxom Full-On Lip Creams? Whats your favorite shade?

Review & Swatches: Gosh BB Cream and BB Skin Perfecting Kit

Hey Lovelies,

On my recent travel to Dubai my sister hooked me up with a bunch of goodies. Amongst them was this Gosh BB Cream in Shade 03 Medium Beige (14 Euros)Β  and BB Skin Perfecting Palette in Medium (14 euros). For my British readers you can get this from Superdrug, for my Danes you can get it at Matas or and my American readers can order from

What Gosh Says:

“GOSH BB Cream is an β€œall in one” product with foundation,
primer and moisture in just one product.
GOSH BB Cream is formulated with mineral pigments and
the different shades are meant to cover all skin tones
– how? Well because we have made the shades to adapt
to the skin tone. This means that you can choose the shade
closest to your skin tone and when you apply it – it will
blend into your natural skin tone and give a light coverage”.

All I can say is this is the best BB cream I’ve ever tried. It comes in a color range of 5, and it’s also got SPF 15.The coverage is wow!!! I would say it has more of a foundation texture and thickness and I think this is why the coverage is so good. Although it has a medium to full coverage it leaves the skin feeling and looking fresh. It definitely evens out the skin tone and even covers other imperfections and redness.

The finish is more on the matte side with a hint of dew. I really like it because it dries fast and really absorbs well into the skin…so well in fact that I don’t even need to use powder on top. Yet it’s not so dry that it looks cakey, its actually quite moisturizing without that overly greasy look and feeling!!

Ive been wearing it for almost 2 weeks now and on warm summer days and it didn’t make my face get shiny and it certainly didn’t melt off. I would suggest though that you work rather fast with this product…I just use my hands and it really does a great job. Also, if you have very oily skin you might want to consider using some powder on top.

Here’s a look at the BB cream fresh out of the tube and when it’s been almost completely blended in my hand. Beware my hand is a tad lighter then my face and the shade 03 Medium Beige but it blends in flawlessly with my face.

10/10 for his BB cream. It works wonders and does a great job at covering and lasts all day, even out in the sun. Its really great for warm summer days as the finish and texture is a bit more on the matte side so it does a good job at oil control but still leaves the skin looking and feeling fresh. Though I would recommend powder for quite oily skin types and would recommend mixing a bit of moisturizer in for extremely dry skin types (im dry in the winter and dry to combination oily in the summer).

The BB Skin Perfecting Kit is a bit of another story. It comes with three colors, 2 mattes and a shimmer.

BB_SkinPerfectingKit_SwatchesI kind of feel that this trio in medium is a little too dark for the medium beige BB cream, yet the Light trio looks way too light for the BB cream. But the lightest shade in this does work at covering under eye circles, not amazingly or anything and it does nothing to brighten the under eye area.

The pigmentation is so so and the texture was decent, its a thin formula but a bit on the dry side. There was a little bit of creasing under the eye. The darker shades you can use to contour and bronze the face or cheeks which is cool but I feel like the shades looked muddy. And again the pigmentation was so so, making it a bit difficult to work with. The product dries a little too fast in my opinion, again making it difficult to blend flawlessly without leaving streaks.

6/10. Overall I’m not super impressed with this product but it’s not bad either. I think this would be great for either makeup beginners or someone with almost perfect skin that needs a tad of under eye coverage. Perhaps I would have more success with the trio of it matched the BB cream better.

Have you tried this BB cream and Corrective Kit from Gosh? What do you think?
