Review & Swatches: Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Coral Oasis

Hey guys,

I recently did a really pretty coral eye look using the Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Coral Oasis. So I thought I’d review and swatch it for you 😀

I got this product at Walgreens for $9.79 but it can also be purchased at any other American drugstore or here through for all my internationals 😀

The packaging is fairly simple, made form plastic including a double ended sponge tip applicator that I threw out immediately. The packaging feels a bit flimsy but on the plus side its super slim and small so its convenient for on the go or for traveling.

The quad comes with 4 beautiful shimmery shades.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_PinkThe first shade from the left is a gorgeous shimmery pink toned champagne shade. Amazing pigmentation, super creamy texture and amazing longevity when worn with a primer.

Maybelline_Eyestudion_CoralOasisQuad_GoldThe second shade is a yellowy gold shimmer shade. This is a really beautiful shade and compliments the warm tones beautifully. Great pigmentation, blendability, texture and longevity.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_CoralThe third shade is a beautiful coral orange with a satin finish. This is my favorite shade, great color pay off, another buttery smooth shade with great lasting power.

Maybelline_Eyestudio_CoralOasisQuad_BrownThe last shade is a deep brown with aubergine undertones. This one also has a satin finish. As is the case with the other shades this one is also highly pigmented, very smooth, easily blendable and great long lasting power.

Here’s a look I created with all the shades plus the shade Mermaid from the Too faced Summer Eyes Palette ( I’ll have a review and swatches up of this guy at some point this week!!).

9/10 for this great budget friendly quad. It has every color you need to create a fresh day time eye or smoked out for those warm summer evenings. The pigmentation, texture, blendability and staying power is wonderful on every single shade. The fallout was minimal, I just made sure to tap the extra product off my brush before application 😀 The only down fall to this product was the flimsy packaging. Otherwise this product was spot on perfect!!

My Top 5 Must Have Make Up Brushes

Hey guys and dolls 😀

Sorry I’ve been totally MIA for over a week. Ive just been having so much fun with the family that blogging has kind of been on the back burner. But now that I’m here in Cali for the next few weeks I will definitely have time for some more blogging.

I’ve been doing a fare bit of shopping so expect a bunch of reviews to come. Also I dont have an IMATS Haul to show you guys as I left my purchase in London at my sisters place but when I get home I’ll definetly have an indepth one. For now follow me on instagram @binkydiamonds where I post all all types of fun beauty and fashion related items daily 😀

Now on to what this post is really about 😀

Since I’ve been traveling and Ill be away for a while I needed to bring with me good brushes that were also multitask-ers. Lord knows I do a fair bit of shopping so the more space I can conserve the better. So heres my top 5 must have multi tasking makeup brushes:

1. Beauty Blender:

Ok its not really a brush but I use it almost everyday to apply foundation, concealer, and cream blush. You dampen the sponge before use for an airbrushed and cake free flawless finish. You can also use it with dry products to set for example your under eye area.

2. Sigma Duo Fiber Stippling Brush- F-50:

When i’m using a foundation that isn’t water based I’ll use this stippling brush. Its super soft and large enough for a fast and fuss free application. It gives a lighter coverage but that’s perfect for me, plus it’s summer so I don’t want to cake up. Its also great for blending and applying cream blushes and powder products.

3. Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush:

Ok so this guy is amazing. It’s dual fiber so you can use it with wet and dry products. You can use it to apply under eye concealer. It blends and applies creamy concealers wonderfully. Its of course amazing as an eye shadow brush for a quick splash of color on the lid or used for cream shadows for an easy mess free application.

4. Sonia Kashuk Taper Blending Brush No. 109:

Great brush for crease work and blending. Super soft hairs and just the right size for my eyes.

5. Sigma Large Powder Brush F-30:

Ive owned other great powder brushes but none as large and soft as this one. Its great to use with powder foundation for a light coverage or to lightly set your liquid foundation, its also great for blending contour, highlight and blush. Love this guy!!

Of course I have many other favorite brushes that I use on a daily basis but these would be the brushes I would repurchase in an instance, if for some reason I lost all my brushes!!! They can be used for multiple applications of different products and they all are silky smooth on the face.

What are your top 5 make up brushes you couldn’t live without?

Review and Swatches: Smashbox Halo Long Wear Blush in Peachy Dream

Hey guys,

Ive got another Smashbox review for you all 😀 I hope your not getting bored with all the Smashbox but Ive totally forgotten how amazing this brand is!! Also they recently brought the brand back to Denmark so now my Danish girls can finally get their hands on this super brand. Its available at Style Box in Lyngby Store Center and Fields Shopping Center.

Today’s swatches will be on the Halo Long Wear Blush in Peachy Dream.

smashbox_peachydream_haloblushsmashbox_peachydream_haloblush_BackIt’s housed in a sturdy plastic case with a mirror. It small and compact so easy for travel or to throw in your hand bag.

smashbox_peachydream_haloblush_insideAs with all the Halo products, the blush is exposed with a shaving mechanism. Half a turn and you get the perfect amount of product for your cheeks. Plus it keeps everything clean and hygienic.

Peachy Dream is a beautiful peachy coral with a slight pink under tone. Its almost completely matte yet it does have a slight sheen to it. Not shiny or glittery but a beautiful glow.

The pigmentation is very strong, the formula is silky smooth, finely mild and melts like butter into the skin for a flawlessly blended application.

The longevity is crazy with this baby. It lasted for over 8 hours with no sign of fading or need for touch ups. LOVE IT!!!!!

10/10 for this bad boy. Pigmentation, blendability, formula, and longevity are insane. It definitely lasts for hours and makes the skin look fresh and vibrant. Its a perfect must have summer blush. I think I’ll take this one with me on holiday 😀

Have any of you tried the Halo Blushes? Whats your favorite shade?
