So a few months ago I was in Dubai visiting my sister. If you don’t already know, shes a lifestyle and beauty editor for a health and fitness magazine out there. She gets so many products to review for the magazine that she doesn’t know what to do with afterwards so she basically gives it all to me!! I’m such a lucky one 😀
Well she gave me a few goodies form the Maybelline Fit Me Collection. The shade was way too dark then but now that the sun has been shinning the color matches a little better. So I finally got the chance to test Fit Me Foundation in 125 Nude Beige, Fit Me Pressed Powder in 125 Nude Beige, Fit Me Concealer in 125 and the Fit Me Blush in Light Peach.
Fit Me Foundation in 125 Nude Biege:
The packaging for this foundation is great. It looks sleek and stream line. I like that the bottle is clear so you can see how much you’ve used up. Plus it comes with a handy pump, one pump will cover my entire face. It has a light to medium yet build-able coverage.
As you can see the color is still a bit too dark for me but on the face it blends out well. It dries rather quickly so you need to work fast with it or do sections of the face at a time. It has a satin/dewy finish and feels light on the skin. It did a pretty good job at covering the redness on my cheeks and it wore for about 8 hours. I tested it without a primer to get an accurate reading of it’s longevity and blending abilities. I would definitely recommend this for people with dry skin but people with oily skin may not like this formula as I did notice a little shine on the t-zone at the end of the day.
Fit Me Concealer in 125:
The concealer from the same shade range is amazing. It comes with a doe foot applicator which makes it so easy to apply and stops from wasting product. It does a great job of covering up the under eye area. Its creamy yet not too thick in consistency so it’s super easy to blend out and doesn’t sit in the fine lines. It’s lighter in shade then the foundation so it highlights at the same time. I wouldn’t really recommend it for hiding spots as its not a heavy duty full coverage concealer and its a tad lighter then the foundation. Overall a really great under eye concealer.
The pressed powder comes in a sturdy plastic box with a mirror and powder puff. Its very light and not cakey at all. It blends very well and looks great with the foundation. It has a matte finish in the box but gives a dewy finish on the face which I love. It lasted approximately 7 hours before a little shine came through. I wouldn’t really say that this is great for oil control but it does set the makeup and gives a little extra coverage.
This would have to be my least favorite product from the collection. It’s a warm peach with a matte finish. It wore for about 4 hours. The blush looks great in the pan but it’s not very pigmented at all. It’s really a shame because the formula is very soft and finely milled so it has great potential. If your fair skinned and looking for a peach blush that’s sheer this could be for you but if your looking for a highly pigmented peach shade you will be disappointed with this one.
If you haven’t already noticed the 125 shades looks rather different from foundation to concealer to powder. The foundation is the darkest. The concealer and powder are at least a shade lighter but I don’t mind because its great for highlighting. Plus you use such a little amount of the powder that it doesn’t really change the outcome too much. Considering the foundation is a tad too dark for me the lighter powder tones it down a bit. But if you want the powder and concealer to match your skin tone exactly you might want to go up a shade in these two.
Here’s a look I did using all these products so you can actually see the final outcome.
I would give this product line an 8/10. It would have gotten higher had the blush been more pigmented. As you can see though the final look with all the products together looks pretty nice. It gives a radiant and flawless look. I love the way it turned out, it makes my skin look and feel fresh with a lit from within glow. Again I probably wouldn’t recommend the foundation or powder for those with oily skin types as it might just melt off, but if your dry skinned and looking for a great and affordable foundation, concealer and powder I would give these guys a go 😀
Have any of you tried the Fit Me Collection? What are your thoughts on it?
