Review: Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation

Hello make up lovers,

Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA lately but I was in lala land while on holiday in Dubai visiting my sister, nephew, and brother in law. We had an amazing time, as per usual, and of course my wonderful sister spoiled me rotten with products galore!! Everything from skin care, to eye shadow, fake tan, mascara, and even a whitening tooth kit!!! So today I thought I would share and review for you all the new-ish Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation.

MUFE_ProFinishMake Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation is available to my US guys and gals via Sephora or and costs $36. For my Danish pals it will be available in Sephora in Copenhagen in a few months. It comes in 25 different shades and tones. The powdered foundation is housed in a sturdy, black, shiny, plastic compact. It also comes with a cosmetics sponge housed underneath the product its self.

The packaging is relatively light so its great to throw in your handbag and easy to travel with. The only downside to the packaging is it gets dirty looking quickly and picks up even the slightest hint of finger print.

MUFE_ProFinish_125MUFE_ProFinish_163So my sister got sent shades 125 and 163. Luckily enough the 163 works great with my newly tanned skin. Ive been testing it out for over a week now and I love it. You can use it wet for a dewy finish or dry for a mat finish so its great for all skin types and needs. Plus its formulated with some great ingredients which hydrate and sooth the skin. The coverage on this thing is amazing. It can be sheered or built up to full coverage so its definitely has a multi-usage. You can even use it with a large powder brush to lightly dust and set you liquid foundation.

Over all I have pretty dry and sensitive skin and I’m not normally a fan of powdered foundation as they tend to dry me out but wow oh wow this guy did the opposite, even when I used it dry. I had flawless glowing summer skin with zero breakout. The lightweight and buildable formula really is great for all skin types.

This wonderful product gets a 10/10 from me.

It looked flawless on the skin, was easy to use and blend. It didn’t cake up at all and looked so natural, it just soaked into my skin. I love that you can use it wet for a sheer dewy finish or dry for full coverage. Plus the shade range is amazing so I’m sure almost every guy or gal can find something!!!

Have any of you tried this product?

Review & Swatches- Maybelline Color Senseational Vivids

Hey guys,

So I’m totally in spring mode at the moment. I’m just absolutely loving anything colorful, bright and fun. So I thought I would share my impressions of the new Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids line. I believe there are in fact 10 color options in the range, but my local drugstore only carried about 5 or 6 shades which I’m totally sad about :( but i still managed to pick up three of them: Hot Plum, Shocking Coral and Electric Orange

Review&Swatches-_Maybelline_Color_Senseational_Vivids_Lipstick Review&Swatches-_Maybelline_Color_Senseational_Vivids_Lipstick_1As the name suggests its a line full of vivid and bright colors. I of course chose the brightest colors that were available. I just love these lipsticks. To be honest i’ve never tried any of the other Maybelline lipsticks from the color sensational line but I think I might just have to now. They are so soft on the lips and definitely feel nourishing, I guess that’s thanks to the honey nectar ingredient. And they give a beautiful high shine finish 😀 They have very little smell, really nothing noticeable, if anything it smells a bit like coco butter, but only if you stick your nose right into it!!! LOL which I wouldn’t recommend for hygiene reasons 😀 And most importantly the color pigmentation is out of this world..its totally comparable to many high end brands out there for a fraction of the price. I’m so happy that a drugstore brand has come out with some truly fantastic, bright and pigmented lipsticks for us beauty junkies!!! Well lets get to the swatches and more in depth review of the colors themselves.

Review&Swatches-_Maybelline_Color_Senseational_Vivids_Lipstick_2Review&Swatches-_Maybelline_Color_Senseational_Vivids_Lipstick_3Hot Plum: Bright purple with a blue base. Great color pay off, easy to apply and moisturizing.

Shocking Coral: Bright coral leaning more on the pink side. This one is also highly pigmented and soft on the lips. I think this color would look great on so many skin tones.

Electric Orange: Well that’s exactly what it is…an electric bright orange. Full of color pay off and comfortable to wear.

10/10 for these bad boys. They are highly pigmented, great color payoff, nourishing, high gloss finish. But don’t be scared because for those of you who might be going into epileptic shock from these shockingly vivid colors, they are totally sheer-able too. What do you think of these little gems? Have you tried them out, or want to?
