New Handmade Bracelets

Hey beautiful people πŸ˜€

I’ve had some extra free time on my hands as uni is out and I’m only working weekends so I’ve made a bunch of new bracelets. Ive really been into making and wearing wrap bracelets and braided chain bracelets.Β  The color combos are endless and they look fab when worn together. Not to mention they’re pretty much bang on trend at the moment.

Here are some of my most recent items. They’re all up on my web shop here at binkydiamonds.storenvy.com

I also take custom orders so don’t hesitate to ask for possible color combos or designs :)

I wont be making too many new accessories as I’m leaving for summer vacation in a few days But I’ll have plenty of fun beauty posts as my first stop is in London to see my sister and we’ll be hitting up IMATS!!!!!!! AAHHHHHH OMG I’m so excited. I’ve never been but I’ve heard a lot about it!! I’ve already made a list of all the vendors I want to visit ;D

Then I’ll be heading to San Francisco and LA to visit my parents and brother. I’ll definitely be hitting up Sephora, Ulta, Bays Beauty Supplies (my spot for discounted nail supplies) Nigels Beauty Emporium, Target, Walgreens and where ever else my makeup heart desires πŸ˜€ so keep a look out for many beauty hauls to come.

I’ll also be doing a fair amount of shopping for clothes…would any of you be interested in seeing fashion hauls and outfits of the day?

Dont forget to follow me on instagram @binkdiamondsΒ  where I post loads of beauty related items and photos of all the fun things I’ll be doing on my trip.

What are your plans for the summer? I’d love to know πŸ˜€

Whats In My Travel Make Up Bag

Hey beautiful people,

So summer is almost here and Uni is done so that means holidays and travel…whooopiiii πŸ˜€ I’m heading off tomorrow for a week to see my sister and then in mid June I will be in London for IMATS (OMG too excited for that!!!) and then off to sunny Cali to visit my parents and brother. So I thought I would share with you guys what make up I bring with me on holiday as well as how and what I pack it in. Lets just get straight in to it.

Makeup_Travel

Makeup_Travel_MUFEI pack most of my make up and skin care in the super great MUFE makeup bag. It’s really cool and holds loads of stuff. Unfortunately I don’t know if its available for purchase as I got it free at a MUFE event. Anyways here’s a little look of the inside…

Makeup_Travel_MUFE_OpenMakeup_Travel_MUFE_Compartment

It has loads of compartments. A mesh zipper area for flatter larger products and two removable plastic ‘pencil case’ type compartments. There’s also a compartment in the very front which I don’t really use for anything. Its a great bag, the removable compartments are basically waterproof and super easy to clean in case of spillage or leakage!!! Whats super cool about the plastic compartments: they’re detachable so you can choose to use all, one or none and its great for keeping everything organized.

Makeup_Travel_LargeMakeup_Travel_large_meshIn the mesh compartment I house most of the larger and fatter products like my Mac MSF in Soft and Gentle, Maybelline Fit me Powder in 125, Mini Daily Brush Cleanser from Sephora, and my Urban Decay Naked Palette.

Makeup_Travel_MUFE_makeupIn one of the plastic compartments I house most of my make up. So lip products like Too Faced Juicy Melons, Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tarte, Mac Lipglass in Betty Bright and NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige (even though its a dusty rose…but whatevs!!!) It also fits a mini Hourglass Primer, L’Oreal Lumi Primer, MUFE Brightening Concealer, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 125, Too Faced Chocolate Soliel Bronzer, TheBalm Hot Mama Blush, MUFE HD Powder, Mac Paint Pot in Painterly, and two eyeliner pencils from MUFE in black and brown. I Think I will also pack a nude liner, perhaps my Tarte one but I haven’t decide yet πŸ˜€ I also haven’t decide on which mascara I should take or brow product…oh the difficulties of a a makeup addict!!! hahaha.

Makeup_Travel_MUFE_SkincareThe other plastic compartment houses my skin care stuff. I use a lot of mini and sample versions of products I already own. So I have a mini make up remover and toner from Sephora, my Josie Maran Argan Oil as my night ‘cream’, a mini Murad sample of there eye cream and daily moisturizer, and a mini Lancome Vissionaire as my serum. I also have my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 125 and my Mac Fix+ to hydrate and and set my make up πŸ˜€

Makeup_Travel_BrushesMy makeup brushes travel in the Sigma holder which doubles as a stand which is super convenient and I add a few smaller brushes in my Too Faced travel brush container. Most of my brushes are protected with Brush Guards, it helps keep there shape too!!

Makeup_Travel_HairAnd lastly I keep all my hair care in this little black Chanel pouch. Again I have mini versions of my fave hair products like my Ouidad Serum Glaze, Aveda Be Curly and a little empty container that I filled with my Ouidad hair gel. I always take a mini of my favorite perfume Flower Bomb by Victor and Rolf.

After everything is packed and sealed I throw it in my suitcase and wedge it in between clothing for extra safety.

Tips for Packing Makeup:

  • Keep samples and ask for samples of your favorite products, they are perfect for travel as they take up very little space.
  • As an alternative to sample products, buy empty containers and fill them up with your fave products.
  • To prevent powders from shattering or breaking stick a little powder poof in your powder compacts, this will help avoid any cracks.
  • Wedge your make up bags in between clothing for extra cushioning (you no how those airport guys throw your bags around!!!)
  • If your extra paranoid about your eye shadows and palettes breaking then wrap them up in a pair of ankle warmers or a fluffy sweater.
  • If you have a really nice and expensive make up bag that you don’t want to ruin (lets face it things brake and spill!!) keep things in little plastic baggies. It contains the mess and makes it easy to clean πŸ˜€
  • Protect your makeup brushes by housing them in a separate compartment and use Brush Guards for shape and extra protection.

I hope this post has been helpful. If not I hope it’s been fun πŸ˜€ I know it was for me!!!

I would love to hear your packing tips so please do leave a comment with great suggestions on how to keep your make up safe during air travel πŸ˜€

I fell off + Nail Art

Ok so I totally fell off and have been neglecting my blog like no other. But for reals i’m trying my hardest to get the hang of this and get back into the swing of things. Hopefully since my work load at uni is dying down and I find myself with plenty of time there’s no excuse. So here I am. And I come bearing wonderful nail art gifts.

I got my nails did when I was in Cali during x-mas to visit my family. And of course the wonderful Asako from Nail Art House in SFΒ  hooked me up, as always πŸ˜€ She always makes my nails look so darn pretty!!!!

So this is the first set I got at the beginning of my trip. Pink Calgel and Asako’s very own concoction of gold pigment and a super sparkly MAC loose glitter that was to die for. She only had a tiny little bit and was nice enough to use it on me! I thought the skull on my left hand and the cute little bow were perfect for the holidays πŸ˜€

And this was the set I got right before I left back home. Of course I had to go out with a bang and this set just speaks for it’s self. Both hands are Calgel in a gradient of emerald green (BTW it’s the Pantone color of the year) adorned with super cool leopard stickers and 3D pieces.

Well I hope you guys will look forward to some super cool posts about nail art and beauty. Im feeling hella positive and feel like im finally gonna take this blogging seriously πŸ˜€ im actually excited to work on the next post for you guys and make up for all my nonsense!!!
